    These plans are currently only available for prepaid customers in Curaçao with a Curaçao Chippie number. These prepaid bundles are not applicable for UTS Business customers.

  • Which numbers can I call with my 3-in-1 prepaid bundle?
    With the minutes you receive in your prepaid bundle you can call:
    • Chippie to Chippie(land): calls to a mobile number in Curaçao, Bonaire, Saba, Surinam, St. Eustatius, Dutch St. Maarten, French St. Martin and St. Kitts & Nevis
    • Chippie to UTS fixed numbers in Curaçao (home base)

     

  • To which numbers can I send an SMS with my 3-in-1 prepaid bundle?
    With the quantity of SMS that you receive when you activate a prepaid bundle, you can send SMS messages to:
    • Chippie(land): SMS to Chippie mobile numbers in Curaçao, Bonaire, Saba, Surinam, St. Eustatius, Dutch St. Maarten, French St. Martin and St. Kitts & Nevis.
    Digicel mobile phones in Curaçao (home base)

     

  • What do I need to apply for the 3-in-1 prepaid bundles?
    You should be in possession of a 4G enabled smartphone with the frequency of 850/2100.
    You should be in possession of a UTS 4G+ SIM card
    You should be a prepaid customer with no additional services activated.


    Note that that this service cannot be activated if you are in possession of a BlackBerry Smartphone with an OS 7.1 or lower.

  • Are there any devices on which the 3-in-1 prepaid bundles do not work?

    The prepaid bundles will not work if you are in possession of a Blackberry Smartphone with an OS 7.1 or lower; in other words, any model of BlackBerry Pearl, Curve, Bold, Torch, Touch, Storm, etc.

  • What are the benefits of the new prepaid plans?
    Talk, text and surf all from 1 bundle. By bundling up you can enjoy more minutes, SMS and data for a lower price than when you purchase the items separately.
    2Use your bundle minutes to freely call your friends locally and/or in Chippieland plus all local UTS fixed numbers.
    3No unexpected out of bundle rates; outside your bundle you continue talking and texting at our regular prepaid rates.
    4You pay in advance for your bundle, so you don’t need to worry about having enough credit for making calls or sending SMS.
    5No need to tie yourself to a contract!

     

  • Can I activate one of the 3-in-1 prepaid bundles if I already have a 4G+ data plan activated? (For example 4G+ standard or 4G+ premium?)

    If you have a 4G+ Data plan already activated, you will not be able to activate the 3-in-1 prepaid bundle while you still have data left. You can activate the 3-in-1 prepaid bundle when you have reached the expiration date of your 4G+ plan or when you’ve used all the data on your prepaid data plan.

  • What will happen if I use all my minutes in my bundle and I still have SMS and data left?
    If you have used all your minutes in your bundle and you have not reached the expiration date of your bundle yet, you can still use the remaining SMS and data and choose the following:
    Continue calling at the regular prepaid rates
    Activate a ‘Chippie 24 Unlimited’ minute bundle to call for 24 hours unlimited to all local numbers for only ANG 10,- incl. OB. To activate, just send CHIPPIE 24 to 3110.
  • What will happen if I use all my SMS in my bundle and I still have minutes and data left?
    If you have used all your SMS in your bundle and you have not reached the expiration date of your bundle yet, you can you can still use the remaining minutes and data and choose the following:
    Continue texting at the regular prepaid rates
    Activate a ‘Chippie SMS’ bundle in order to receive 25 SMS to send to all local numbers and Chippieland for only ANG 10,- incl. OB. To activate, just send CHIPPIE SMS to 3110.
  • What will happen if I use all my data in my bundle and I still have SMS and minutes left?
    If you have used all your data in your bundle and have not reached the expiration date yet, you can choose to do as follows:
    Activate a ‘Chippie Data’ bundle for only ANG 10,- incl. OB and you will receive 500 MB. By activating Chippie Data you can still use the remaining SMS and minutes in your bundle.
    Activate a new Chippie prepaid 3-in-1 bundle. By activating a new Chippie prepaid bundle you will lose remaining balances and receive new minutes, SMS and data.
  • Can I activate one of the 3-in-1 prepaid bundles if I have ATÉ activated?

    No, you cannot activate a 3-in-1 Chippie prepaid plan when you have ATÉ activated. If you want to use a 3-in-1 Chippie prepaid bundle, you need to deactivate ATÉ first.

  • If I have a 2G SIM, can I apply for the 3-in-1 prepaid bundles? No, if you have a 2G SIM you should swap your SIM for a 4G+ SIM to be able to activate the new 3-in-1 prepaid bundles. Swapping your SIM for a 4G+ SIM is FREE at any UTS Store.
  • I have a prepaid 4G+ SIM, but I cannot activate the 3-in-1 Chippie prepaid bundle. Why?
    If you have one of the following services activated on your prepaid account, you can unfortunately not activate the 3-in-1 Chippie prepaid bundle:
    Chippie Friends & Family
    Chippie Stageburo
    Chippie Company
    Chippie Student
    Chippie Culture
    Prepaid Voice combined with Postpaid Data

    If you want to activate a 3-in-1 prepaid bundle, you should first deactivate any of these other services you may have.

  • What should I do when my phone has been stolen?

    In case your postpaid phone has been stolen make sure you hurry to one of our UTS stores to fill out a form so we can block your subscription. This prevents you from high bills due to misuse. In case your phone has been stolen after closing hours you can go to our security services at Mahaai, they will assist you accordingly.

  • What do I pay when I call a GSM Chippie from a home phone?

    The rate when calling a GSM Chippie cell phone from your postpaid home phone is 50 cent per minute. When calling from your Telefasil account you pay 59 cent per minute.
    These rates are valid during the whole day.
     

  • What happens if the complete account balance has not been used?

    If you do not use the complete amount of your call credit from your GSM Chippie Prepaid account and the account reaches its expiry period, you can no longer make calls. You must recharge your phone to keep making calls. You do not lose the expired amount. When you recharge your account you have a lapse of 60 days to recharge your account again to get the amount back .If you fail to do so your phone will be disconnected.

  • What happens when a GSM Chippie Prepaid has no balance?

    When you use all your credit (available balance) from your GSM Chippie Prepaid account, you cannot make phone calls anymore. In order to make phone calls again, you must recharge your account

  • What is a (GSM) Chippie Prepaid Card?

    The Chippie Prepaid Card is a prepaid telephone card which you can use to recharge your (prepaid mobile) account so you can make calls using your CHIPPIE mobile phone.  Chippie Prepaid Cards are widely available, at denominations of 5, 10, and 25 guilders; once uploaded on your Chippie mobile phone, your credit has 30-day validity.

  • How do I access the GSM CHIPPIE Prepaid main menu?

    To access the main menu of the GSM CHIPPIE Prepaid Service, you must: dial * 91 (star 91) or   #191# send

  • What's a PUK Code?

    A PUK Code is an 8 digit code that you must use to unblock your phone. A phone is blocked when you enter a wrong PIN Code several times in a row. However, if you repeatedly enter one wrong PUK Code after the other, your CHIPPIE SIM-card will be permanently blocked. This means that you cannot use your CHIPPIE SIM-card anymore. In this case you must buy a new CHIPPIE SIM-card.

  • What's a PIN Code?

    A PIN Code (Personal Identification Number) is a secret personal code of 4 digits that you can use to block your phone. By doing this, you prevent others to make calls from your phone. 

     
    When you buy a CHIPPIE SIM-card, the PIN Code is 0000. It is recommended to change this PIN Code as soon as you start using the SIM-card. 
     
    When a phone is blocked with a PIN Code, you must use that PIN Code every time you turn on your phone. If you use a wrong PIN Code several times in a row, your phone will be blocked. In this case you must use your PUK Code to unblock your phone.
     
  • What are GSM CHIPPIE calling rates?

    UTS offers, regarding your GSM CHIPPIE mobile rates, rates for both local calls and rates for international calls.

    Although the rates are indicated per minute, UTS charges per second when the client is billed. A client speaks and pays per second.

    Interinsular/international calling rates

    For interinsular or international calls from both a GSM CHIPPIE prepaid phone and a postpaid phone we charge the costs of the interinsular or international rate per minute valid for the regular network, including a surcharge of 18% plus 5% Sales Tax.

  • Which services do I have in my GSM CHIPPIE package?

    Additional services beside the different options offered by the GSM CHIPPIE service;

    • Atami (Caller ID)
    • Siguimi (Follow Me)
    • Wardami (Call Waiting)
    • Blòkiami (Call Barring)
    • Conference with three people (only Chippie Postpaid)

     

    Of these services Atami is automatically pre-programmed. In other words this service can be used immediately. To access the other services you must refer and program the phone as indicated in the phone manual. The manual gives specific instructions on how to activate these services according to the model of each phone. If the phone model does not have one of the above-mentioned facilities, this means that you cannot use the service in question.

  • What's a CHIPPIE SIM-card?

    A Chippie SIM-card contains all information that corresponds to you, like your phone number, type of accessible service (prepaid or postpaid) and a list of numbers that you call more often if saved on your SIM (Phone Book).

  • Can I change all GSM phones into GSM CHIPPIE?

    Before you acquire a GSM phone to function on the GSM CHIPPIE system of UTS, there are some important points to be taken into consideration:

     
    The GSM CHIPPIE system of UTS functions on a 900/1800 Mhz frequency (Dualband). This means that the phone you purchase must be either a Dualband one (900/1800 Mhz) or a Triband one (900/1800/1900 Mhz).
     
  • At what value can I get the prepaid GSM CHIPPIE cards?

    Prepaid CHIPPIE cards are available all over the island in most stores that sell prepaid phone cards. Of course these can also be purchased at one of the UTS Client Service Centers or UTS cash desks. The prepaid cards can be purchased at 10 and 25 guilders. 

  • How do I apply for the Roaming Service?

    The Roaming Service gives you the opportunity to travel to a foreign country with your GSM cell phone and be available on your local number. When you have a GSM Chippie Postpaid cell phone at your disposal, you do not have to apply for the Roaming Service. The Roaming Service is automatically on the GSM system. When traveling to a foreign country with a GSM Chippie prepaid phone please follow the following instructions to roam:

  • How do I recharge my GSM Chippie account?

    You can recharge your GSM Chippie Prepaid account in various ways: 

    1. By purchasing a GSM Chippie Prepaid Card.
    2. By purchasing call credit at one of UTS' Client Service Centers or any of the UTS cash desks.
    3. By purchasing talk time through the IZItime service of Girobank N.V. or at the desk of any of the Girobank N.V. branches.
    4. By purchasing call credit with your Bankomatiko card through the UTIL service of Maduro & Curiel's Bank N.V. In the same way, also at the desk of MCB branches or by using the Telebanking service MCB@Home. The aforementioned services are also available at Banco di Caribe.
    5. By recharging via SMS 1111, through the UTIL service of Maduro & Curiel's Bank N.V.
  • How do I send a SMS from my GSM Chippie?

    Through the SMS service you can send messages of a maximum of 160 digits, directly from your cell phone to another GSM cell phone. It is good to consult the phone manual to check how this service functions on each phone.

     
    In order to use the SMS service from a GSM CHIPPIE, it is necessary, when using the service for the first time, to enter the UTS Message Centre access code. The number of the UTS GSM Chippie Message Centre is: + 599 9 519 9300 (you must add the "+" too).
     
  • How can listen to my Voicemail?

    Voice Mail is the voice message recording service. You can access your voice Mail when you’re in Curaçao and when you’re abroad. 

    From Curaçao

    To listen to recorded messages on the GSM CHIPPIE Voice Mail Service from a GSM phone in Curaçao, you must dial *99, and follow the instructions or you can dial 9 519 9400 and follow the instructions.

    From abroad

    You can also access the GSM CHIPPIE Voice Mail Service from abroad. In this case one must dial the following number: + 599 9 519 9400.
